Southampton Estates has always been one of the dreams of Curtis and Marcia, and it started to become a reality in 1998. Since that time, the development has grown and the dream has been realized. Curtis and Marcia wanted to build a nice area of homes for the Haysville community. They now feel that Southampton is a beautiful addition to the community. Hampton & Sons Construction, Inc., has built many homes in Haysville, Wichita, and many outlying communities. The blessings continue - and we thank God, our family, and all of our homebuyers for the success that we have reached.

HOMES FOR SALE: They will be added as the homes are completed.
Hampton & Sons Construction, Inc., is certified and licensed to build using the most innovative method on the market today — insulated concrete forms (ICF). The Logix system is the highest-quality product available and the only type of ICF Hampton & Sons Construction, Inc., uses. Hampton & Sons Construction, Inc., is also a distributor of the Logix system.
How does an insulated concrete form system work?
Interlocking polystyrene blocks assembled as the forms for the walls of the home are reinforced with steel and filled with concrete. The forms remain in place, providing insulation, a vapor barrier, and a surface to attach interior and exterior finishings.
How energy efficient is the Logix system?
The insulating foam provides a thermal resistance of R-24, but when considering the concrete as well, the Logix wall is comparable to an R-50 wood-framed wall. The Logix walls maintain their R-value over their entire lifetime, unlike traditional methods of insulation, which tend to lose their thermal resistance due to moisture and age. Because of their incredible energy efficiency, a study found that ICF buildings are 44% cheaper to heat and 32% cheaper to cool. That translates into much cheaper utility bills, putting more money into your pocket!
How does the Logix strength and safety compare to a wood-framed home?
Compared to a wood-framed building, structures built with insulated concrete forms are up to 8.5 times stronger. They can also withstand hurricane conditions. Logix buildings have a 3-hour fire rating. This fact typically qualifies them for 10-15% lower insurance rates than wood-framed buildings, which have only a 15-minute fire rating. Also, because ICF structures do not have the studs and cavities that can hold moisture and foster mold and mildew growth, improved air quality is another potential benefit of using the Logix system.
Can a Logix home be any size or shape?
Yes! The Logix system provides the different sizes and shapes of blocks to accommodate any type of home or building being constructed, including brick ledges, taper top blocks, end caps, and 90 and 45 degree angle corners — all in addition to the standard form.
Are Logix homes more sound resistant?
Yes! Typical wood-framed homes have a sound transmission classification of STC 25, which allows people inside to hear and understand voices outside. With the Logix system, an STC 50 (inaudible) gives you peaceful living without the annoyance of loud exterior sounds.
Do I have to worry about moisture getting in?
ICF walls do not need any additional vapor barriers. Logix provides a waterproofing system for below-grade applications that ensures a thoroughly dry basement.
